Budhi Gandaki River Fishing

One of the underrated rivers in Nepal, Budhi Gandaki, offers fishing and is one of Nepal's best fishing destinations. The area between Setibas and Benighat is perfect for fishing. The river allows other water activities like rafting and kayaking along with fishing. Flowing from the eastern Manaslu slope and Ganesh Himal, the upstream is Trishuli and Marsyangdi, while the downstream are Aarughat Bazar, Tatopani, Lapubesi, etc.

The destination is near the capital and Kathmandu, and Pokhara acts as a hub for fishing on Budhi Gandaki river. The region is covered with green forests and has a tiny village with an indigenous group of people living with a traditional lifestyle. The views of golden and tantalizing mountains make your fishing time worth it.

The regions like Seuli Bazar, Aarughat, and Arket Bazar are renounced for fishing, and the trip can be a single day to multiple days. The dominant fishes in the river are mahseer, freshwater eel, snow trout, and catfishes. The best time to go fishing on this river is October to mid-November and March to May.
